Sustainable Agriculture

sustainable agriculture – responsibly growing fresh produce

SunSelect’s sustainable growing methods enable us grow fresh and healthy vegetables, safely and responsibly, on the smallest amount of land possible. We produce food in an environmentally friendly fashion, without causing severe or irreversible damage to ecosystem health, to provide our customers with safe and affordable produce year-round.

Our Delta , Aldergrove, and Tehachapi California facilities are constructed to preserve an ecological balance, and to drastically reduce our carbon footprint and dependence on non-renewable resources like natural gas. The controlled environment of our greenhouses allows us to grow the perfect produce – 24 hours a day, 365 days a year – without herbicides, pesticides or use of genetically modified pollen.

Innovative technology allows us to grow our plants in “tiny” blocks of coconut husk waste, which are nourished by drip irrigation. There is no direct application of manures, smaller quantities of water are used, and there is no risk of groundwater contamination.

Our sustainable farming methods produce safe and always fresh vegetables for your family to enjoy, without damaging the health of the ecosystem.
